I'm not sure how the first show was but I'm sure the encore was just as good. I took a lot of pics on the digicam. The tally totaled out around 160 pictures. Had a really good time as well, although I stood front and center in the same spot for the entire thing. We got our own little Halifax tribute song which was kinda cute. And of course the song involved a reference to our weather. Ummm I think I'm going to go to Ok Go and controller.controller on the 31st. If anyone else wants to go with, hit me up. another reason to love my little town [12/25/05 ! 1:52AM] [ music | ffX2 ] So I'm in the valley. I've been spending some time with my parents new 50 inch screen tv and the playstation 2. However the majority of the time has been spent visiting people and shopping. I think I've done a pretty good job all around. I had most of my gifts before I even came here. Which was on the 19th. I go back to Hali on the 28th I believe. Today New Minas had barely anybody in the stores which was weird so I figured I'd have a poll; when were you done your Xmas shopping? A few months before Christmas Started around the 1st of December 2 weeks before Christmas 1 week before Christmas Just started and just finished shopping Shopping? What's that? I shop year-round just for Christmas Other (comment) oops. You have to post your choice with a reply cause my account isn't a paid one. meh. My friend got married a week ago and didn't tell me. Which is funny. I only got the news through his sister after being at his place for over 30min. Apparently it was some big secret that Ryan and I couldn't know about? Ha. Anyway I don't feel too bad since only his parents and grandparents were in attendance. I've been told I'm invited to the "Big One." Either way congratz Foster. Ha, you're the first high school friend as far as I know. His wife is from Belize, they had a bunch of good pictures to show, and she was super nice. It was the first time I met her. One of my friends works with Richard Jenkins or Nathaniel Fisher from the show Six feet Under. Apparently when hes not working on the show he moves here to the valley to work at Evergreen Home for Special Care. I found that fairly interesting. I guess he wants something to fall back on just in-case. My mom works tomorrow so were not opening anything until 3 when she gets off. but whatevs. I get to sleep in. Hopefully the O.R. will be slow on Xmas day. I went driving around with Ryan last night. We stalked old work locations. It's hilarious when he starts freaking out about some things that have changed a bit here. I guess it makes him feel old. Foster getting married probably didn't help, ha. But I think this place it's pretty much the same. You can still see a lot of the same people around. Unfortunately a lot of the ones that matter are missing. But it did bring me the Misfits (Dead Red), The Sex Pistols (Blackout 77), Nirvana (The Dean Malenkos), and the Ramones (The Hemingways & McFaddens). The Great Halloween Swindle... I was a hippie and yelled such throughout the night. Complete with my style of interpretive dance and the contagious peace sign. I like my Beatles shirt, bell-bottoms and hendrix bandana. [06/17/05 ! 1:13AM] I appreciate the concern but... I can take care of myself. I don't need your opinion. I don't need your feelings on my issues. I need your support. When I need one of the other things, I'll come looking for it. Until then keep it to yourself. You're making my life harder than it has to be and messing with my head. Don't spread something you feel differently about to everyone I know, something thats really only in my life. Especially when it's not a dire issue or having some major impact on me. Maybe if I become an alcoholic or abuse something, which we all know won't likely happen ever. You're blowing things out of proportion and it's driving me insane. This doesn't end up being for me or about me, it's for you. It's selfish and there's better ways to express your concern. Like actually talking to me about it and leaving it at that. Its a reptile and there's a reason behind this desire... but first lets check out the factsheet shall we? Name || Axolotl, Mexican Salamander, Mexican Axolotl, Mexican Walking Fish Scientific Name || Ambystoma mexicanum Conservation Status || Common in captivity but threatened in the wild. Habitat || As their name suggests, the axolotl originates from Mexico. While they are originally from Lakes Xochimilco and Chalco, Lake Chalco no longer exists and Xochimilco survives only as a network of canals and lagoons. They played a few new songs. The Constantines were good to see too. Stood in one place for too long but it was worth it. The last throw together song at the end End Of The Line, although it fell apart a bit in some places was really fun. One of the best places to spend St. Patrick's day. St. Patrick’s Day: the one day of the year when the 2% of the world’s population that’s Irish gets the other 98% completely shitfaced. It may be just a big hype but I still love it. Seriously one of my favorite days of the year. It's right up there with halloween, almost everyone loves halloween. I've never really celebrated St. Paddy's day like it's supposed to be but truly theres nothing better than the color green, clovers, and little green leprechaun people. Yes I have red hair but I'm not Irish, I'm Scottish, although I love most things Irish. It isn't an official national holiday in Canada but it is a provincial holiday in Newfoundland. I went to the aof/ra/fb show like a lot of you did. Had a good time even though I lost everyone for pretty much the entire thing (except sarah although it was close a couple times). Saw a lot of other people which made up for loosing everyone else. Alana was cool enough to take pictures since I was too busy enjoying the music up close and personal with another 100 peeps. Rise Against was wicked. I loved singing along to why does banana get shotgun again. And Dallas I love Dallas from aof.
